The Sherlock Holmes Long Stories
Arthur Conan Doyle, First Edition, Modern First EditionsThe Sherlock Holmes Long Stories By Arthur Conan Doyle First edition, first impression (John Murray, 1929). Publisher's original red cloth with lettering to spine and upper board in gilt. A better than very good book with the usual spotting to edges, preliminaries and final couple of leaves. Red top-stain still nice and bright. Small sticker to bottom corner of front paste-down. The original and unclipped dust jacket is similarly better than very good with a little fading to spine panel and a small area of staining to spine foot. One or two very small nicks and chips to spine ends. An excellent example in significantly better condition than usually encountered.£750.00
