    The Mars Trilogy By Kim Stanley Robinson First editions, first impressions published by Harper Collins between 1992 and 1996. Each title won several awards, including the BSFA Award, Nebula Award, Hugo Award and Locus Award, between 1992 and 1997. Collectively among the most exhaustive and best works on the terraforming of Mars ever written. All volumes bound in original publisher's cloth with lettering to spine in silver. A couple of knocks to top edge of lower board and corners of volume one with the odd isolated spot and a little toning to edges, else near fine. The original and unclipped dust jackets are also excellent with some creasing to the top edge of 'Red Mars', primarily to spine head. Some isolated instances of minor edge wear to 'Green Mars' and to the bottom edge of lower panel of 'Blue Mars'. An excellent set.

    The Mockery Bird By Gerald Durrell First edition, first impression (Collins, 1981). Signed by the author to the dedication page with a heart drawn around the name 'Lee' in the author's hand. Lee McGeorge Durrell is the author's second wife who, in addition to co-authoring books with her husband, is also a naturalist, zookeeper, and television presenter. Publisher's original green cloth with lettering to spine in gilt. Boards are lovely, clean and well-preserved, as are the contents with just a little faint dustiness to top edge. The original and unclipped dust jacket has slight fading to the spine panel with one instance of creasing to spine head and tiny area of abrasion to spine foot. An excellent, near fine copy overall.
