Publisher's original red cloth with gilt lettering to spine. A very good copy with some toning to edges and a crease to the top corner of a few pages. The original and unclipped dust jacket is also very good with a few shallow chips and a small closed tear to top edge of lower panel and upper panel fore-edge.

Some browning and off-setting to endpapers with spotting to edges and some darkening to cloth where it has been exposed due to areas of loss to dust jacket. The original dust jacket has no restoration of any kind and bears the correct 7'6 price to spine. Some loss to spine ends and wear to edges with spotting and a few discreet tape repairs to verso.

Minor spine slant with some mild rolling to spine ends; gift inscription to front endpaper dated 1934; mild scattered foxing to edges; contents very nice and clean, except for a touch of very faint and occasional spotting to first and last few pages. Very good indeed. The dust jacket has a significant amount of loss to spine ends and to lower panel with several small nicks and tears; occasional abrasion to edges and to fore-edge of upper panel; some discreet tape reinforcements to verso.
