Some browning to spine with a little marginal browning to boards; corners a little rubbed; toning to edges with some spotting to fore-edge; free from inscriptions. The first issue jacket is correctly priced at 7’6 with some loss to spine ends and corners with tape repair to verso; a few tears to edges and some fraying to folds.

The original and unclipped dust jacket has a tiny nick to top edge and small 6mm closed tear to bottom edge of rear panel; very faint toning to spine panel. A fine copy otherwise. Famously adapted to film as 'The Last Man on Earth' in 1964, 'The Omega Man' in 1971 and 'I am Legend' in 2007.
