The Day of the Triffids
By John Wyndham
First Edition, First Impression (Michael Joseph 1951). Contemporary previous owner's inscription to front paste-down, which is covered by dust jacket; corners of front board lightly bumped; light toning to edges. Corners of original and unclipped dust jacket are rubbed with a little loss, a couple of tears to top and bottom of hinges of front and rear panels; marks to top and bottom of rear panel and minor loss to spine tips. A very good copy of a science fiction classic.
Of Mice and Men
By John Steinbeck
US First Edition and First Impression with "pendula" on page 9, and a bullet between the numbers on page 88, which were removed from later printings. (New York: Covici Friede, 1937). One of only 2,500 copies printed in 1937. 8vo, publisher's beige cloth, front cover and spine stamped in black and orange; spine darkened with insect damage; corners bumped; dust jacket, price-clipped with a little soiling to rear panel and closed tear to front panel; spine panel and folds tanned with some edgewear.
By Ray Bradbury
UK First Edition, First Impression (Rupert Hart-Davis 1954). A fine book in a very good unfaded dust wrapper that has not been price-clipped. Dust jacket has several small pinholes here and there. Crease to spine and a little rubbing to the corners. An excellent copy.
