The Acceptance World
By Anthony Powell
First Edition, First Impression (Heinemann, 1955). Presentation inscription by the author to front endpaper dated March 1973. The third novel in the 'A Dance to the Music of Time' series, which comprises twelve novels in total. Signed or inscribed copies of this title are very scarce. Spine tips and corners rubbed; marks to boards at front and rear; spine slightly darkened; edges toned; binding cracked at front and rear, but all pages still firmly adhered. Original and unclipped dust jacket has a neat tape repair to verso; light soiling to parts of rear panel and a couple of small closed tears to the top.
By Ray Bradbury
UK First Edition, First Impression (Rupert Hart-Davis 1954). A fine book in a very good unfaded dust wrapper that has not been price-clipped. Dust jacket has several small pinholes here and there. Crease to spine and a little rubbing to the corners. An excellent copy.
The Black Prince
By Iris Murdoch
First Edition and First Impression (Chatto & Windus, 1973). Light bumping to spine tips; spine slightly rolled. Original and unclipped dust jacket has a little wear to spine tips and extremities with hints of scuffing to rear panel. A near fine example.
The Day of the Triffids
By John Wyndham
First Edition, First Impression (Michael Joseph 1951). Contemporary previous owner's inscription to front paste-down, which is covered by dust jacket; corners of front board lightly bumped; light toning to edges. Corners of original and unclipped dust jacket are rubbed with a little loss, a couple of tears to top and bottom of hinges of front and rear panels; marks to top and bottom of rear panel and minor loss to spine tips. A very good copy of a science fiction classic.
