By Richard Adams
Limited edition (Paradine, 1976). Winner of the Carnegie Medal and Guardian Prize. Adapted to film in 1978 and into TV series in 1999 and 2018.
One of 250 numbered copies with the original slipcase to be signed by the author and illustrator, of which this is number 12. Additional watercolour illustration to the front free endpaper with the artist's initials.
Beautifully bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe in green crushed morocco with gilt edges and attractive gilt motifs to spine and upper board.
A fine copy with a little sunning to spine, as is common, in a fine slipcase.
The House At Pooh Corner
By A.A. Milne
First edition, first impression (Methuen & Co, 1928). Featuring the first appearance of 'Tigger'.
Some discolouration to bottom corner of upper board and lower board; a little inconspicuous staining to bottom edge of preliminaries with evidence of some sticky residue to bottom corner of front endpaper - very good.
Original dust jacket has just a little rubbing and very minor chipping to spine tips and top fore-edge; slight toning to spine panel - near fine.
An excellent and bright example.
