By Iris Murdoch
First edition, first impression (Chatto & Windus, 1957). Publisher’s original green cloth with gilt lettering to spine. Spine has some sunning with very faint evidence of spotting to edges and darkening to top, near fine otherwise in a near fine or better dust jacket with trivial and isolated instances of wear to top edge and a minuscule nick to bottom edge of rear flap. A lovely copy of the author’s third novel.

UK First Edition, First Impression (Rupert Hart-Davis 1954). A fine book in a very good unfaded dust wrapper that has not been price-clipped. Dust jacket has several small pinholes here and there. Crease to spine and a little rubbing to the corners. An excellent copy.
Nuns and Soldiers
