  • Can I place an order over the phone?

Yes, you can. You are very welcome to place an order by telephone. Please call us on 07535 230585 and we will be pleased to assist. If you reach us outside normal business hours, simply leave your contact details and we will return your call promptly.

  • Can I return an item?

Yes. All our books may be returned within 14 days of receipt if found unsatisfactory for any reason. Items must be returned in the condition supplied. For full details, please see our Returns & Refunds information.

 

  • How are books packed for shipment?

Every book is packed with exceptional care. Each item is individually wrapped in bubble wrap, cushioned with appropriate protective materials, and placed within a sturdy cardboard box designed to withstand international transit. Orders are dispatched worldwide every working day.

 

  • Do you ship outside the UK?

Yes. We ship worldwide and offer a variety of delivery options to suit your requirements. International shipping quotes are available at checkout or upon request.

 

  • Is there any additional sales tax to pay?

Printed books are zero-rated for VAT in the UK, so no sales tax is added to rare-book purchases. However, since the UK left the European Union, taxes may be applicable for some EU countries. The buyer will be responsible for paying these costs.

 

  • Are shipments fully insured?

Yes. All orders are shipped fully insured from our premises to your door. If you are sending books to us for valuation or sale, please contact us beforehand so that an appropriate provisional valuation can be agreed and insurance confirmed.

 

  • Do your books come with a certificate of authenticity?

Every book is supplied with a printed Fine Book Cellar description which serves as a certificate of authenticity. We guarantee the accuracy of our cataloguing and the authenticity of all books we sell. If you would like an additional certificate for your records, we will be pleased to provide one.

  • Is my personal information kept private?

Yes. We handle all personal data with the utmost discretion. Your details are used solely to fulfil orders and provide requested catalogues or communications. If you would like your information amended or removed, please contact us at info@finebookcellar.com.

 

  • How are weekend or bank-holiday orders handled?

Orders placed late on Friday, over the weekend, or during a bank holiday will be dispatched on the next working day. You will receive a personal dispatch notification once your package is on its way including tracking details.
