First edition, first impression. Signed by the author to the title page. A chronicle of the author's attempt to hike the Appalachian Trail during the spring and summer of 1996, which was later adapted into a film starring Robert Redford in 2015.
 
Original black cloth with lettering to spine in gilt and green and black pictorial endpapers and paste-downs. Mild toning to edges. A couple of small and inconspicuous marks to upper board with slight pushing to spine ends, else near fine or better, in a fine, unclipped dust jacket.
