First edition, first impression. Signed and dedicated by the author and illustrator to the title page with a small sketch of a snail.
 
Original pictorial boards. A hint of rubbing to corners, else near fine, in a very good or better unclipped dust jacket with moderate edge wear to the top and a couple of nicks to edges with some associated creasing to lower panel. Rarely found double-signed.
