Security of your Personal Information
To maintain the security of your information, we use the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol with 128-bit encryption strength to transmit sensitive information when necessary. This is the same technology used in transmitting sensitive information by banks, governments, and online businesses.
How we use your Personal Information
Your personal information will be used in order to provide you with the requested products and services. This includes the use of information for completing transactions or communicating back to you. Credit card numbers are used only for payment processing and are not used for any other purpose.
We may also use personal information in a manner that does not identify you specifically nor allow you to be contacted but does identify certain criteria about our Site’s users in general (such as we may inform third parties about the number of registered users, number of unique visitors, and the pages most frequently browsed).
Who we share your Personal Information with
We will NOT sell or rent your name or personal information to anyone else. We DO NOT sell, rent or provide outside access to our mailing list at all.
If required by law, search warrant, subpoena, court order, or credit card fraud investigation, The Fine Book Cellar may be required to release such personal information.
The Fine Book Cellar will share your information with third parties only to the extent necessary to provide the services and products requested by you. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
Collection of your Personal Information
The Fine Book Cellar only saves such personal information that is necessary for you to access and use our services. This personal information includes, but is not limited to, first and last name, email address, phone number, other payment processing information and document creation data. Upon request, we will delete your personal information.
Cookies and Other Tracking Mechanisms
California law requires that operators of website and online services disclose how they respond to a Do Not Track signal and whether other third parties may collect personally identifiable information about an individual’s online activities from their site or service.
Some browsers have incorporated “Do Not Track” features. Most of these features, when turned on, send a signal or preference to the website or online service that a user visits, indicating that the user does not wish to be tracked. Because there is not yet a common understanding of how to interpret Do Not Track signals, The Fine Book Cellar does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. Please note that some features of The Fine Book Cellar may not function properly when cookies are disabled or removed. For more information regarding Do Not Track mechanisms, see http://allaboutdnt.com/.
The Fine Book Cellar does not allow third parties, except for certain The Fine Book Cellar subcontractors, to collect information directly from users of the Application. These subcontractors collect and use information only at The Fine Book Cellar’s direction and only to support the functioning of the Application; they may not share this information with other third parties.
Document Preparation and Privacy of Information
The information you provide when you prepare a document on our website is held strictly confidential. For your protection provide a valid email address that will not block email from The Fine Book Cellar. To change your password, you must use the email address associated with your account. We do not give out passwords over the phone.
This policy is effective as of November 1st, 2017 We update this policy from time to time; please check back regularly to stay informed of current privacy practices.
