    Le Carré Omnibus

    , , , ,
Le Carré Omnibus By John le Carré First edition, first impression (Gollancz, 1964). Signed by the author to the title page. Original red cloth with lettering to spine in gilt. Some spotting to edges and, more faintly, to half-title and title pages; small biro mark to fore-edge of page 14 and nick to top of page 78. The original, clipped dust jacket has a few chips and tears to edges with a few tape reinforcements to verso. The correct first issue dust jacket with X25 to bottom corner of lower panel. A very good copy of an edition which is very hard to find signed.

    Our Game

    , , , ,
Our Game By John le Carré First edition, first impression (Hodder & Stoughton, 1995). Signed and inscribed by the author to the title page with his real name (David Cornwell). Very rare signed in this way. One of a smaller print run due to the author's dislike of the dust jacket. Publisher's original black cloth with gilt lettering to spine map endpapers and ribbon marker. Slightest hint of a spine slant with some cracking to half-title hinge, but still a near fine book or better, with boards and contents free from marks or inscriptions. The original and unclipped dust jacket is in fine condition with just very trivial traces of wear to spine head. A superb copy bearing a very rare author signature.

    Smiley’s People

    , , , ,
Smiley's People By John le Carré First edition, first impression (Hodder & Stoughton, 1980). Signed by the author to the title page with a crossed J, which is less common in more recent examples of his signature. Publisher's original blue cloth with lettering to spine in gilt, white endpapers and paste-downs. A little dustiness to top edge and small corner crease to a couple of pages, else fine and free from names and inscriptions. The original and unclipped dust jacket has some of the usual sunning to spine and negligible traces of isolated rubbing to spine ends; lovely, bright and crisp otherwise and free from tears and creases. A near fine example of the third book in the Karla trilogy.

    , , , ,
The Honourable Schoolboy By John le Carré First edition, first impression (Hodder and Stoughton, 1977). Signed by the author to the title page. Original dark blue cloth with lettering to spine in gilt and map endpapers and paste-downs. A near fine or better copy with slight dustiness to top edge and barely visible crease to the bottom corner of a couple of pages, otherwise nice and clean and free from names or inscriptions. The original and unclipped dust jacket is also better than near fine with a corner crease to lower flap and one or two mild instances of rubbing to edges. A beautiful copy of the second book in the Karla trilogy. Rare signed and in such excellent condition.
