    The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes By Arthur Conan-Doyle First edition, first issue (George Newnes, 1892) with first issue uncorrected text "cucaine" for "cocaine" on page 133, and the misprint Miss "Violent" Hunter on page 317. Original publisher's light blue cloth, all edges gilt. Some mottling to covers with pushing and remnants of gluing to spine tips; some cracking to hinges, but all pages are firmly bound; bottom corners a touch rubbed and bumped; very small previous bookseller stamp to front endpaper verso; contents nice and clean with only occasional light foxing throughout.

Front endpaper renewed with original endpaper adhered to front pastedown; a little light soiling here and there with some rubbing to spine ends and corners; slight bowing to upper cover. Free from inscriptions and binding still nice and tight. Very good overall.

    The Sherlock Holmes Long Stories By Arthur Conan Doyle First edition, first impression (John Murray, 1929). Publishers original red cloth with gold lettering to spine and upper board. Some spotting to edges, though contents are nice and clean with just one or two isolated instances of spotting to opening few pages; previous owner inscription to front endpaper dated May 21st 1934; boards and spine are very clean and well preserved; red top-stain still nice and bright without fading. A little surface soiling here and there to dust jacket; spine ends nicked with a few closed tears to edges. A very good copy overall and rare in the dust jacket.
