A near fine copy with a slight spine slant and spotting to top edge, in a near fine dust jacket with a little lifting to laminate at top of upper panel hinge and a hint of trivial edge wear in places. An excellent copy.

Publisher’s original dark blue cloth with silver lettering to spine. Bottom portion of boards faintly marked with some off-setting to endpapers; some toning and spotting to edges, which encroaches a little on text of opening pages. The original dust jacket has some chipping to spine ends and corners with a few small closed tears and some moderate toning to lower panel and to verso in places. A very good copy overall of the rare first issue.

A beautiful, near fine copy.

Boards very nice and clean and free from bumping and marks; previous owner bookplate to front paste-down with their name to front endpaper; some browning to margins of p 154 & 155 from a bookmark, but contents are clean otherwise and free from foxing. The original and unclipped dust jacket comes complete with the rare wraparound band; a few tears to the edges of the lower panel and top of upper panel hinge with tape repairs to verso; edges a little abraded here and there. A very good copy indeed of what is widely considered to be one of the greatest and most influential science fiction novels ever written.
