The Harry Potter Books: A Complete Set of First Deluxe Editions

    , , , , ,
The Harry Potter Books: A Complete Set of First Deluxe Editions By J.K. Rowling A complete set of first deluxe editions, first impressions. 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone', 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' and 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' are signed by the author to their dedication leaves. The set is accompanied by five photographs of the signing event, one of which features J.K. Rowling herself at the event, as well as in-store ephemera for the 'Chamber of Secrets' book launch. The books were purchased upon publication by the children's book buyer at Dillon's in Newcastle in the late 1990s and early 2000s. They were also responsible for organising the event where the books were signed. The first three volumes were signed at the start of 'Goblet of Fire' book launch, before the general public were granted entry, at Waterstones in Newcastle on Monday 10th July 2000, just a couple of days after the trade edition was published. The Deluxe edition of 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' was not published at the same time as the first trade edition and is, therefore, not signed. Publisher's original red, blue, green, purple, burgundy, blue and black cloth with lettering to spine and upper boards in gilt, pictorial on-lays, silk ribbon markers and gold edges. An excellent, fine set. It is truly unique for the author's signatures to come with this level of provenance.
