The original and unclipped dust jacket - featuring cover art by Alan Breese - has a small chip to spine head, which has been inconspicuously repaired, a few small nicks to edges and a couple of areas of water marking to spine panel verso, otherwise very good. A very good copy indeed.

The novel was first published in serial form in Collier's magazine in late 1954 and issued in the US and UK in book form the following year. Adapted to film several times, most notably in 1956 under the title 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers'. Original red cloth with black lettering to spine. A few light marks to boards; rear endpaper a little offset; bookseller label to bottom corner of front paste-down; some toning to textblock edges. The original dust jacket, featuring artwork by Lowen, has been neatly price-clipped and has a closed tear to the top edge of lower panel with an associated tape repair to verso. Red lettering to spine very slightly faded with some faint spotting to verso. An excellent copy of this science fiction horror classic.
