A little rubbing to board edges, else near fine and free from names and inscriptions, in a very good and unclipped dust jacket with a couple of small nicks and shallow chips to edges with some rubbing in places and a crease running down the spine panel.
A very good copy indeed. Rare in the dust jacket.

Owner's name in ink to title page with light browning to endpapers and half-title; mild bumping and rubbing to corners and extremities; top edge a little darkened; some minor cracking to binding at page 16, but all pages still holding firm.
A very good copy indeed of the author's scarce third collection of ghost stories.

Small area of abrasion to top corner of lower panel and a hint of fading to bottom portion of spine panel; minor and occasional traces of edge wear; crease to rear flap; a few tears to wraparound band. An excellent, near fine copy overall. Uncommon with the band.

Quarter-bound in cream cloth with black boards. Toning to edges with a chip to fore-edge of opening page of Chapter One and small closed tear to fore-edge of pages 5-9. Free from previous owner names and inscriptions. The original and unclipped dust jacket is slightly smaller than the book, suggesting that it may have been trimmed; moderate rubbing and chipping in places with a tear to spine foot and to lower panel fore-edge, but still a very good copy overall.
