The Master & Margarita
First Edition, Modern First Editions
The Master & Margarita
by Mikhail Bulgakov
First UK edition, first impression, published by Collins in 1967 and translated by Michael Glenny. Written between 1928 to 1940 in the Soviet Union and initially published in Russian in serial form in 1966-1967, though this had a portion of the original text removed due to its criticism of the Russian government. The first edition in Russian was issued in France by YMCA Press in 1967. The complete version of the novel was not published in Russia until 1973. Widely viewed as one of the most important novels of the 20th Century.
Original green cloth with lettering to spine in gilt. A few faint spots to edges and a moderate bump to top corner of lower board. A little cracking to rear hinge, but holding very firm.
The original and unclipped dust jacket is in fine condition, but for a few very faint instances of soiling to rear panel and a few light spots to rear panel verso. An exceedingly bright, near fine copy.

Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker
First Edition, Modern First Editions, Signed First Editions
Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker
By Alan Dean Foster (Credited to George Lucas)
First edition, first impression. Signed and dedicated to the title page by ghostwriter, Alan Dean Foster, author of a number of movie novelisations including 'Alien' and 'Star Trek' before eventually returning to the 'Star Wars' franchise to write 'The Force Awakens' in 2015.
Star Wars: From the Adventures of Luke Skywalker, a novelization of the 1977 film Star Wars, was published months before the film’s release. Credited to George Lucas, this book provides a detailed backstory, including references to Palpatine’s rise to power, which would later be explored in subsequent films. In later years, the book was retitled Star Wars: A New Hope to align with the subsequent addition of the film’s subtitle in 1981.
A very good or better copy with some reading wear to hinge of upper cover with a fairly inconspicuous tape repair to bottom corner, some mild rubbing in places and a couple of creases.

The Mars Trilogy: Red Mars, Green Mars, Blue Mars
First Edition, Modern First Editions, Science Fiction
The Mars Trilogy
By Kim Stanley Robinson
A set of first editions, first impressions of the three books comprising 'The Mars Trilogy'. 'Red Mars' received the BSFA Award in 1992 and the Nebula Award for Best Novel in 1993. 'Green Mars' won the Hugo Award for Best Novel and the Locus Award for Best Science Fiction Novel in 1994, and 'Blue Mars' was given the Hugo and Locus Awards in 1997.
'The Mars Trilogy' explores humanity's ambitious project to terraform Mars. Spanning nearly two centuries, the series contrasts a utopian vision of Martian society marked by egalitarianism and scientific innovation with a dystopian Earth grappling with overpopulation and environmental collapse.
Publisher's original cloth. Some toning to edges of 'Blue Mars' with a few faint spots to the top edge of 'Green Mars', else near fine. A little edge wear to the bottom edge of the original and unclipped dust jackets, with a very small nick to the bottom edge of 'Red Mars', otherwise near fine.
