Life of Pi
By Yann Martel
First Canadian edition, first impression. Signed by the author to the title page. The true first edition published by Knopf in September 2001, preceding those of the US and UK, which were issued the following year. Winner of the Booker Prize in 2002 and later adapted into a successful film in 2012.
Original yellow cloth with red lettering to spine. A little compression to spine foot, else fine. The original and unclipped dust jacket, featuring artwork by Jamie Bennett, has very trivial traces of wear to spine head, but is otherwise fine and sharp.

The Winter of Our Discontent
By John Steinbeck
First UK edition, first impression. The author's last novel, published in 1961.
Original dark purple cloth with lettering to spine in gilt. Slight bowing to boards with a previous owner name and date to front endpaper. A few peripheral spots to opening leaves and to edges.
The original and unclipped dust jacket shows a little edge wear with a couple of very small nicks and some spotting to verso. A very good example overall.

The Brothers Karamazov
First Edition, Modern First Editions
The Brothers Karamazov
By Fyodor Dostoevsky
First edition thus, published in 1964 by the Folio Society and featuring sketches by Nigel Lambourne.
Original red and black pictorial cloth with lettering to spine in gilt and light blue endpapers, paste-downs and topstain. A near fine example with just a few spots to fore-edge and, even more faintly, to title page, otherwise very nice and clean throughout. Housed in the slipcase, which has a few light marks to top and bottom, but is otherwise in similarly excellent condition.
