Signed and location dated by the author to half-title: 'Sept 30th Glasgow' with '和' (Wa) written in Japanese kanji, which translates into English as 'harmony'. The first book chronologically in the Asian Saga, though the third to be published. Adapted into two popular TV miniseries in 1980 and 2024. Original black cloth with lettering to spine in gilt. One barely discernible knock to bottom corner of upper board, else fine and seemingly unread with pristine and unmarked white pages. The original and unclipped dust jacket has two unobtrusive indentations to upper panel hinge and a couple of very faint blemishes to spine panel with mild traces of wear to spine hear and a soft, inconspicuous crease to top corner of upper flat, else near fine.
