Edited by Israel Gollancz (1864 – 1930), Shakespearean scholar and founding Secretary of the British Academy. A very attractive set. Vellum bindings a little toned and marked; gilt bright and well preserved. Contents generally throughout with some browning to endpapers and paste-downs of some volumes and a few instances of spotting. Panoramic view pull out of Thames in Vol VI partially missing, all tissue guards and illustrations otherwise intact. Bookplate of Sidney Davidson to front paste-down of each volume.
