    Our Game

    , , , ,
Our Game By John le Carré First edition, first impression (Hodder & Stoughton, 1995). Signed and inscribed by the author to the title page with his real name (David Cornwell). Very rare signed in this way. One of a smaller print run due to the author's dislike of the dust jacket. Publisher's original black cloth with gilt lettering to spine map endpapers and ribbon marker. Slightest hint of a spine slant with some cracking to half-title hinge, but still a near fine book or better, with boards and contents free from marks or inscriptions. The original and unclipped dust jacket is in fine condition with just very trivial traces of wear to spine head. A superb copy bearing a very rare author signature.

    Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

    , , ,
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy By John le Carré First edition, first impression (Hodder & Stoughton, 1974). The first book in the Karla Trilogy, followed by 'The Honourable Schoolboy' and 'Smiley's People'. Adapted to film and TV in 2011 and 1979 respectively. Publisher's original black cloth with lettering to spine and motif to upper board in gilt. A beautiful, fine and seemingly unread copy with the purple top-stain still bright and unfaded and the contents pristine and free from names or inscriptions. The original and unclipped dust jacket is in near fine condition and notably without the usual heavy fading to the spine panel; extremities are a little rubbed in places with a couple of inconspicuous ink marks to verso. One of the author's most iconic and popular works that is hard to find in such excellent condition.
