A Charlie Brown Christmas
By Charles Schulz
First edition, first impression, published by the World Publishing Company in 1965. Original pictorial boards with burgundy endpapers and paste-downs. A very good copy indeed with a touch of rubbing in board edges, in a very good, price-clipped dust jacket with a few small closed tears to edges and some rubbing in places. Rare in the dust jacket.

The Hobbit
By J.R.R. Tolkien
Second impression (George Allen & Unwin, 1937).
The second impression of The Hobbit was the first to contain coloured illustrations. It appeared three months after the first in December 1937, and was first published in January 1938. The print run consisted of 2,300 copies, but 423 of these were destroyed during the Blitz in 1940.
Original green cloth with lettering and decoration to boards and spine in dark blue. Map endpapers and paste-downs. Top edge green. Some spotting to edges and very light and occasional foxing to opening and closing leaves, else near fine. Housed in a custom-made clamshell box, and accompanied by the correct and original second impression dust jacket, all sections of which are detached with a small portion of the spine remaining and considerable losses to upper and lower panels.

First edition, first impression. Signed, inscribed and dated by the author to the title page: 'To Vic Best Wishes Ian McEwan 17 March 2002'. Less common inscribed as opposed to just signed. Adapted to film in 2007 and widely considered to be among the author's best works.
Original black cloth with silver lettering to spine and black endpapers and paste-downs. Small spot to fore-edge, else fine, in the fine and unclipped dust jacket with only very mild instances of wear to top edge.

First UK edition, first impression. The basis for the long-running and successful film franchise.
