    The Stand By Stephen King First uncut edition, first impression. Published 12 years after the first edition in 1978. Quarter-bound in navy blue cloth over black boards with lettering to spine in gilt and motif and author's signature stamped to upper board in red. Red Endpapers and paste-downs. Slight concavity to spine, as is common, due to the size of the volume. A little rubbing in places. Faint vertical line to front and rear endpapers, otherwise very good. The original and unclipped dust jacket has has vertical crease running along the upper flap and a corner crease to lower flap. Minor signs of wear to spine head, else very good indeed.

A limited edition published simultaneously with the first trade edition and consisting of only 100 numbered copies to be signed by the author, of which this is number 22. Joint winner of the 2019 Booker Prize and the sequel to 'The Handmaid's Tale'. The book is swiss bound in green and white cloth with navy blue endpapers and sprayed green edges with the book title together with the author's name debossed on the upper board. The book is housed in a navy blue cloth clamshell case with a magnetic catch, contains a navy blue ribbon to facilitate removal of the book, and features marbled top and bottom edges and interior. A very attractive production in fine condition and in its original box, which is also in excellent condition.

Housed in an attractive morocco drop-back box with raised bands, blue compartments, gilt lettering and marbled boards. Original green cloth. Spine re-backed using most of the original, only lacking the tips and a small square hole just below the centre. Occasional light foxing and a little rubbing to covers. Hinges neatly reinforced. Free from names and inscriptions. A very good example of a very rare book.

Dent & Co between 1899-1900. Twelve volumes, large octavo. Original full vellum, spines and front covers richly gilt to an Art Nouveau design, top edges gilt, others uncut, silk page-markers bound in. Printed on handmade paper at the Chiswick Press. Title pages printed in red and black; illustrated throughout with antiquarian, topographical, and artistic reproductions, including portraits of Shakespeare and facsimiles of early title pages. Edited by Israel Gollancz (1864 – 1930), Shakespearean scholar and founding Secretary of the British Academy. A very attractive set. Vellum bindings a little toned and marked; gilt bright and well preserved. Contents generally throughout with some browning to endpapers and paste-downs of some volumes and a few instances of spotting. Panoramic view pull out of Thames in Vol VI partially missing, all tissue guards and illustrations otherwise intact. Bookplate of Sidney Davidson to front paste-down of each volume. The Larger Temple Edition represents the most luxurious issue of Dent’s Temple Shakespeare, printed on handmade paper and offered by subscription.
