Near fine book with a little toning and very minor spotting to edges; faint off-setting to rear endpaper and a trivial knock to top corner of upper board, in a very good, price-clipped dust jacket with a touch of faint soiling to lower panel, very small closed tear to spine foot with fading to spine panel, as is common; very mild and isolated instances of rubbing to extremities. Better than very good overall.

The first book in the Paddington series with illustrations by Peggy Fortnum. Publisher's original red cloth with silver lettering to spine. A touch of sunning to spine tips with previous owner name and address to top corner of front endpaper and some spotting to edges of text-block. The original dust jacket is not price-clipped and has some areas of loss to spine ends and to corners of upper panel with a couple of closed tears to spine head and to bottom hinge of upper panel; faint traces of spotting here and there. A nice copy.
